The Stat Lab offers expert statistical support via faculty appointments and through the “walk-in” lab.

Faculty appointments are recommended for support relating to research proposals, study design, more complicated statistical analyses and manuscript preparation.

The walk-in Stat Lab is recommended for guidance with data formatting, data “wrangling”, data visualization and common statistical analyses.

Walk-in Stat Lab Schedule

Several advanced graduate students are available for walk-in consulting Monday through Friday. Below is a tentative schedule for “walk-in” hours, but please note they are subject to change.

We ask that clients limit their visits to the drop in lab to one per day.

We allow 30 min per client per visit or up to 60 min if no one is waiting.  With this in mind, we ask that clients do not arrive with 15 minutes or less remaining in a “shift” (as indicated on the calendar).

When you join the Zoom meeting, you will start in the waiting room.  Please be patient as the host/consultant may be meeting with another client.  If this is the case, they will message you in the waiting room.

If you wait more than 5-10 minutes without hearing from the host, please try messaging the host. Or you can email csustatlab@gmail.com.

See here for Walk-in Lab availability (no appointment necessary):

Effective Fall 2023: The drop-in lab will offer both in-person (Spruce 24) and virtual (Zoom) meeting options.  Click on calendar entries below for details (including Zoom link).  Spruce Hall is located on the North East corner of main campus.  We hope to see you in person soon!
